Legal Profession Course

The Legal Profession Course has been established for students wishing to take the bar exam and become legal professionals (judges, prosecutors, lawyers). To qualify as a legal professional, students currently must, in principle, take the bar exam from an undergraduate law school. Thus, the course is designed for students wishing to enter a law school (i.e., law school graduate course). However, in exceptional cases, a “preliminary examination” system that qualifies students to take the bar exam without attending law school also exists. Therefore, the Legal Profession Course is also open to students aiming to take the Preliminary Exam.

Comprehensive Law Course

The Comprehensive Law Course is offered in both the first and second sections of the School of Law. As a basic course in legal education, it aims to cultivate professionals who have acquired knowledge and skills in diverse legal subjects, have a legal mind, and are sufficiently flexible to adapt to various professional fields in society.
